Stock Spring Rates ?

Supercab or reg cab? (and if reg cab, longbed or short?)

Edit:
N/M, I see it under your profile
Its approximately 475-500PPI for Supercab 4.0L coils.

Just for the record I did find the spring rates to SL 4" lift spring and SJ 4" lift spring for 1994 ext. ranger. SL spring rate = 530 lbs/in and SJ spring rate = 480 lbs/in not a huge difference.

What is your goal here? Are you looking for better flex for trail crawling?

You might want to try going with the Skyjacker 6" coils #136. These are closer to 410lbs-in and should net you about 4.5" lift on a Supercab truck (you would need spacers to get a decent amount of lift from those 4" coils anyway).
These should be fine for a DD rig that isn't dedicated for trail crawling.

Don't forget about your shocks too, they actually can play a bigger role in how the truck rides than the coils.

Thanks for the info 4x4junkie! ... also curious I have a few things about jeep coils from maybe a wrangler fitting as well? know anything about that?

Wrangler coils are MUCH too soft (even XJ coils may be too soft, especially with the V8 swap you mentioned in your other post).

I think the above Skyjacker 6" coils will do you fine. With the V8 in your SC you'll probably be right at 4" lift.
