i was wondering what the stock front driveshaft should measure on a 1988 ford ranger 4x4 5-speed. the reason i ask is because it now has a D35 in the front with 6" coils and 4" drop brackets and the driveshaft given to me is way to long..i think it might not be the right driveshaft for the truck..with this lift should i still have to shorten the front shaft for it to fit? the front shaft also has a slip yoke in the middle of it...shouldnt it be one piece?
