Hey on my 03 ranger the stock air intake has 2 like silencers or something on it. I was thinking of pulling those off and clogging them up. Anyone ever done that before. If so how did you do and how did it work out?

If you clog up the openings how do you think air will get into the box?
There are dozens of threads on the airbox mod, do a search......besides the point that these mods accomplish more noise only and no performance gains.
How could bringing more air in not give any hp gains? I did my mod with the K&n and noticed a little
dyno proof or it didnt happen

Not really... I pulled the silencers out of my 4L and the difference in sound was almost nothing to nothing. The silencers are in the main path of theairway. You can pull them out and itwill free up restrictions, But if you clogg them up you might as well use plywood for an airfilter. In reality th only BIG change you will see by removing the silencers is that it wont be as silent anymore.
