Hi all. I have a '98 B3000 4x4. The stock wheels and 235/75-15 tires tuck in under the fenders too far for my tastes. I have seen some better looking stock 2x4 Ranger wheels for cheap, and on the 2wd trucks, it "appears" those wheels sit further out than my 4x4 wheels. Is this true, or am I seeing things? Is the center bore on my wheels the same or larger than the '98 on up 2wd wheels? Thanks!

cnj:

Center bore for all '98+ wheels (+ Explorer and Mustangs) are the same.

And I think it is optical illusion... While the backspacing on my daughter's 4x2 is 1/2" less than my 4x4's rims; the rim is also 1" narrower, so the center of the tire is in exactly the same spot.

p.s. 4 wheel by 2 driven - 4x2; not a piece of lumber 2"x4" :) (pet peeve of mine).

Offset is the same on all of them. Some factory wheels are 6" wide and some are 7".
