Stiffer Valve Springs?

Cush

In GENERAL engines with timing BELT are non interference.. Also in GENERAL engines with a chain are non-interference.
One of my daughters lost a Toyota belt on the hiway and had no problems after replacing the timing belt..

i say interference. im pretty sure most modern engines are since you couldnt build the compression to get any power or efficiency out of a non-interference engine

Given the Ranger's anemic performance I doubt it is interference. Lack of interference would prevent valve/piston impingement from valve float and probably allows for higher lift 1.8 rockers.

"In GENERAL engines with timing BELT are non interference.."

:icon_confused: Why do you say that? Newer Honda, Nissan, Toyota, etc. all have timing belts and are interference.

big jim i think you're right. i looked in my book from my engine machining class and it said most american motors are non-interference. i thought it was the other way

Alright i have an update!!!

The spring set comes with springs, retainers and locks. And they are matched to the roller rockers.
