I was wanting to stiffen the suspension in my 1991 Ranger XLT 4x2. It came originally with the 4 banger but I've since went with the 302 & AOD.
It sags a little in the front since I put the in V8 and now I want to raise the front about 2" and stiffen all 4 corners. Has anyone here did an Explorer coil swap and how much stiffer did it make the front end? I saw an article on doing an Explorer 4x4 leaf swap and mixing Ex leafs with the ranger, but all that was 4x4 issues. I'm not looking for lift in the rear.. just tighten up the suspension so I can pull my camper without it swaying so bad. What about a stiffer shock setup.. what have you all used?
Ride/comfort is of no issue. I like it rough! :shok:

I bet you do like it rough. By assumption, I'd assume find some v8 expo coils, maybe they'd be stiffer? Or would the f150 coils fit? Check the tech section under suspension. Good luck!
