ok when im at a light somtimes i take it out of 1st and just put it in N so when i put it back in whens its almost green its like impossible to put in somtimes and also when taking off and shifting to 2end its like it doesnt want to go in does any one no how to fix this problem?

air in the system, a worn clutch, or low trans fluid are things that come to mind.

Worn synchronizers or as some people call them blocker rings possible also or clutch not disengaging all the way.

worn syncros may be a possibility for the 2nd gear shift...but 1st is non-syncrionized.

so u think just take it to like the shop and see wat it might be how much are the rings to replace

since its grinding into 1st...i would suspect the other things that have been mentioned before i'd suspect syncros.

if for any reason the trans. needs to be split open...its much more cost effective to just get a low mileage trans. out of the junkyard. they are plentiful and cheap.

Huh? Every RBV transmission has a synchronized 1st gear. You have to go older than 1983 to find ones that don't.

But I agree that this is much more likely to be a clutch issue.
