Ok, so i have been doing an SAS on a 99 Ranger. Used to have a rack and pinion setup. Putting in a Gear Box from about a 76 Ford F150 i believe (its the box that sits on top of the frame with the arm coming down on the outside of the frame.
i hooked it up to the stock power steering pump. put in PS fluid. and it causes the steering to viciously steer back and forth and sometime stick to the point if i try to turn it back, it stalls out the ranger. motor and all that is still all stock.
any ideas? i search all 25 pages here in steering and found nothing.... :-(
its bad enough, if your finger was in the wrong spot, it would probably break your finger as the steering wheel flys around...
