Steering under dash almost apart

The two pegs that connect to steering stem are allmost out and I can't figure out what's bent I went as far as a frame off restoration due to a bent frame is the stem bent ? And rag joint gets more pressure as I squeeze the two pieces together under dash ?

I don't know why
