Steering Stabilizer Sale

i have a similar kit from a different brand its not worth a crap

I think I gave RockAuto that same amount for this kit a few months back.

TRW 16452

If I recall Kunar bought the other one that they had. I was just looking at putting mine on this afternoon as I plan to set the cab sometime this week and want to have all the chassis stuff out of the way.

yes sir i did. its still sitting here in a box in my spare room, just waiting for me to get my d35 in my truck! (still need that unicorn of a 4.10 pumpkin)

alot of items interchange between 2wd & 4wd & was wondering if this would also work on a 5.5" lifted 2wd 1994 Ranger

stabilizers are a bandaid...

stabilizers are a bandaid...

but......what if everything on the steering is nearly new.....

annnnnnnnnd the MANUAL steering box is nice & tight.....

but....when I hit one of those New Orleans potholes doing around 20 mph downtown--------

my truck tries to break my wrists when the steering wheel spins about 4 times as the truck heads into the next lane....

Would a good band-aid....errrr...stabilizer help my sitchi-ashion ?

that IDK.. it might be a different situation.
what I'm really referring to is....
most of the 4x4 guys think they HAVE to have the stabilizer when the problem is usually the steering angles...

I just found out that sometimes the price is related to the quality.....sometimes!

I put stock shocks on the front end of my street Ranger....when they wore out---I matched up a set of car shocks from NAPA that were twice the price as stock aftermarket shocks (there were top-of-the-line-shocks also--but I didn't get them).....the truck rides as smooth as can be now.

Point being........stabilizers are probably the same....those that do the best job cost more....but I'm not gonna pay an outrageous price either.

I got the delivery today. Was pleased to see that made in USA is stamped on the shock barrel. Looks like its pretty good quality. It also looks like new old stock. The directions are pretty faded and the box is dirty and looks like its been sitting on a shelf for years.

Ill update when I get it installed.

I got it installed yesterday. Pretty easy to do. I did bend the L-shaped bracket to fit onto the steering linkage better. I also omitted the boot because I thought it would compress too much at full steering lock but I think it will work now that I've cycled the steering.

I like it so far. Definately smoothed out the steering on the terrible roads here in NE PA.
