Stupid question but I'm pulling a tilt column out of a bronco II and removed the nut on the steering shaft, unbolted the column from the firewall and dash. It seems like the steering shaft has a bolt that runs through and I only removed the nut. Is the bolt just seized up in it or what? I don't want to screw anything up.

It's been a while, hope I'm remembering correctly... If you have everything under the dash pulled then under the hood should be a bolt/nut combo. If the bolt isn't removed the shaft won't come out because the bolt sits in an indentation on the shaft.
Good luck,

Richard

I got it out today, I removed the nut but the bolt was seized inside. I knocked it out with a hammer and punch.
