2000 Ranger XLT 3.0
A couple of months ago when it was 10 below and snowing like h**l my power steering suddenly started losing fluid at a rate of about 1 quart per mile. As this is not our primary vehicle I got it home and parked it until the weather broke (no garage)which brings us to today.
Upon inspection I find it isn't as bad as I had imagined. The leak is in a rusted metal/rubber hose about 6 to 8 inches long that is attached to the bottom of the cooler fins (rubber hose end) and attached on the other end (metal pipe and fitting) to a kind of hub.
My problem is I can find no way to get any wrench to the hub end. It's all very tight with the bad line being in the worst possible position on top and in between the three other connections
Thanks in advance. As you can tell I'm not really a mechanic but these economic times are forcing me into fields I previously didn't have to go. Maybe tomorrow I can get a picture to help explain things
