How hard is this to install? It has the fluid lines that look all rusted and corroded. How about bleeding it also? Should i replace the power steering pump also if it works fine?

It's not real hard, provided your corroded lines don't give you any headache. 3 bolts, pop the linkage off the pitman arm (or just pop the arm off the box), undo the input shaft bolt, and lower it down from under the truck.

To bleed it, I just have the frontend jacked up, start the engine and cycle the steering from lock-to-lock a few times, then top off the fluid again.

I wouldn't worry about the pump unless you find metal particle contamination in there (in which case it could ruin the new box)

ok so i guess i won't know until i try taking it apart wether the lines are going to give me trouble. Has anyone else had problems with there lines? How much would it be to buy all new lines? anyone know?
