So I was doin some doughnuts the other day and while driving down the road I noticed that my steering column was loose and I could move it up and down. Got home took the assembly apart and started workin on gettin it back together. Problem is that I can not get the whole thing pulled far enough toward the seat to get the plastic bushing into the slots on the metal holder that is bolted to the column so for right now I just have it on the edges of the plastic which I know is not good.
Anyways, how in the heck do I get the column pulled back far enough so the bushings are in the slots all the way and able to be bolted up?
Thanks

Keep removing shit until you can. It should be able to come out like it is now.

Man I pulled like hell on the thing and could only get it to budge about an inch and its still about 2 inches short of being able to seat the bushings all the way into the slots and still be able to bolt it to the bracket

Alright I went at it tonight and wiggled and pulled harder than the other night and got it to come out!
I figured out that you have to really wiggle and move it around when you try to get it to come back out from when it dropped down.
Thanks for the help.
