i just installed a 5.5 superlift and ever since then my steering box leaks from the bolt on the top of the box. it leaks right at the seal where the bolt touches the cover. it never leaked before.

i was told its because of the lift and tires, but im running the same size tires(31x11.5x15). its not a minor leak either. it drains all the steering fluid within 2 days and drips constantly when the truck is parked. is it just a seal at the bottom of that bolt that went bad or do i need a new box? also, if i buy a new steering box, will i run into the same problem again or should i look into upgrading to a heavy duty one?

That doesn't seem like a common place for it to leak.

You try tightening the bolt?
