Starting issues

The spout is basically just a jumper for the wires. Pull it and it cuts the connection between the two wires. Make sense?
.

Are you being cocky with this comment. People are trying to help you out and you want to cock off? Sorry but it's hard to tell people's mechanical ability without knowing them. I was trying to describe what the spout does maybe helping you understand more. I mean you didn't even know what one was so I would think your ability is fairly low. Next time don't ask if your going to cock off? Forget you then.

Your first post said I didn't time it right because I didn't pull the spout. You automatically assumed I didn't pull it. Next time try asking if I did. Also if you read about my posts dealing with the spout, it says nothing about me not knowing about it. It states I was having difficulty LOCATING it. My post was not meant to be cocky, but at the same time you shouldn't assume just cause someone asks for help on here that you are superior to them and know exactly what they have and haven't done.

So where exactly am I looking for this spout at? Is this spout a wire, vacuum line, or what?

That is from Post #7 So unless I missed something in that sentence that to me sounds like you don't know what a spout is. Also I am sorry it is the truth you did not time it right because if you did you should be seeing your marks when you hit the light on the balancer when the spout is out. When you put the spout back in you can't see the marks and you can't time it right with the spout in. If you don't see marks then it's not timed right confirming what I said. I am not superior to anyone and your right it is hard to display emotions and tones through keys but I have been doing this a long time and it is what I do for a living so I do know what I am talking about. Saying that I still learn something new everyday even from members on this board. It's a place to get information and help everybody out. I just never saw the reason to mock or get mad at somebody because I am frustrated with my own vehicle. Good luck with the truck.

That is because you did not remove your spout while timing.

From your post, but I did remove the spout, so if I had the spout out and still could not see the marks, why not?

I removed the spout. Manually turned the engine via harmonic balancer pulley to TDC, while also checking #1 cylinder for TDC by a friend. Checked dist. In this order tried several times, having to turn dist 180 to finally get her to start. Check with timing light and no marks. Even turned back 180 again. Got it to start, and no marks. Spout was removed the whole time. So why won't the marks show? I also have 10 BDTC marked with white out to make sure it is noticeable.

Got the timing set finally. Dist was off one tooth. Had to remove the air intake tube to see the timing mark on motor. Tricky thing to see. Rechecked plugs too. They're good to go. Still has a rough idle to her though. Any ideas where its coming from? It's got new IAC, timing is set, can't find any vacuum leaks (even tried the gaskets with starter fluid). Don't know if it may be causing it, but I do keep losing coolant somewhere too. New head gaskets on it. Top end was just redone like 10,000 miles ago according to records. Not seeing it in the oil, not seeing it on the ground. Anyone got an idea where it's going?

Still don't know where my coolant is dissapearing to. Anyone? Replaced the fuel filter today too. Didn't help the idling issue. Run out of things to check that I know of. Anybody got ideas? Checked fuel pressure too, it's good to go.

Well she's idling like she should. Coolant is finally staying where it should. The timing was off a little, but as I posted earlier, has been corrected. Apparently the main culprit even to the starting issue was the FPR. After replacing it, everything cleared right up.

Thanks to all with the help. Even you Oachs.
