So here's tha deal. I put a remote car starter in earlier this month. I now have issues with starting the truck with the remote and key. A week and a half ago I wasn't able to start the truck with the remote or the key, the remote sent and the brain recieved the transmission from the remote due to the lights blinking once and the dash lights illuminating. It was as if the key was in and it was turned to the ignition position just before starting the ignition loop, but when the key is put in and turn fully, nothing happens, it don't click, it don't turn over, nothing, almost like the starter is being blocked. The audio place that installed it said that if the security light turns off after three seconds like normal, then it's not the remote starter. They said it is more than likely a flat spot on the starter. I pulled the truck about 20 feet and it started right up! This happened again today. Whats tha deal? Is it my starter? How can I check without pulling the starter? Has anyone heard of this before? Im getting the remote starter unpluged tomorrow and to see if it happens again. Thanks in advance for any help!
