Starting Hesitation

Hey Everyone.

My truck just started hesitating the other day upon startup. On Monday I cleaned my engine with a light power washing spray, and some degreaser. Once it starts it purrs just the way it did before. I am wondering if something happened to the fuel pressure regulator. The only reason I ask is because if I turn the key into the running position for a few seconds, and then fire it up it seems to fire up like normal. I am not sure if the water/degreaser messed up a sensor or something. I am having trouble picturing what the regulator looks like at the momment.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. also my belt is squeaky so I am going to replace that today after work. I think a fair amount of degreeser got on it.

i noticed the same thing on my 89 2.9 a few days ago also. it just feels like its not starting as quick and powerful as usual. My thoughts were first the battery, but thats new. so my other thought was maybe its just the weather. because it just started getting colder in early morning before i leave to work. when it happened it was the first day it actually felt cold enough for me to use the heater..

yeh I dont think thats my issue. Its definatly still warm out in Sacramento when I get up. It also happens in the middle of the day if my truck has been sitting for a while. I definatly think that I am loosing fuel pressure at the rail.
