I was given an 88 ranger 4x4 automatic with extended cab for free. has new 31-10.50x15 bfgs all way around. interior is 85% and the body is 95% condition. all it needs is a tailgate, the problem? The wiring harness was cut out after the upper intake on the way to the ignition coil. I have all plugs that come out from the driver side firewall and all wires coming from passenger side were cut at the intake.

What do you all recommend? buy a harness or pull from junk yard? I have no money into it so i do not mind the money side I was just looking for ideas or opinions.

Thanks

Joe

Assuming 2.9l engine.

I would try to get the whole wiring harness.

Because many people here have done the 2.9l to 4.0l swap and even V8 swaps, and had to change their wiring harness for the new engine size, there may be a few out there just sitting around.
Even partial harness could work for your needs.

I would start a new post "Looking for 2.9l wiring harness", then list the year and options, like automatic and EGR if so equipped, A/C, cruise.

The current "Starting at the beginning...." won't get you the people you want
