hey guys, im not sure where to put this so im sorry if its the wrong spot. but on my 89 bronco 2. how is the starter hooked up? im putting on another starter and theres only one wire going on to it and it isnt turning over? shouldnt there be a ground and a positive?
thanks

There should only be 1 wire. There is a 4 gauge wire running to the starter from the relay. It gives both the trigger signal and the power for the motor itself. The starter grounds out through its contact with the transmission case. If its still not turning over check to see there is power getting to it. If there is, try turning the engine by hand, make sure it isn't seized.

You may have just gotten a bad starter.

ok thank you, i figured something like that. i think its a bad starter im gonna get a brand new one tomorrow
