Bought a new starter for my 92 4.0 ranger. It has a wire on it with red flag saying to splice crimp and heat shrink the wire but to what. Old starter had only one push on wire besides the main power supply. Looks like the new starter doesn’t have a spot for push on wire. Help?

Welcome to TRS :)

You will need to cut the push on wire end off, strip the wire and crimp it to the new lead

Or if you have the old starter take off its push on tab and install it on the new starter, take off the lead wire, put old tab on same post, that post should have an "S" next to it
