Starter Issue 1993 XLT SC 4.0 Auto

@Curious Hound This is the new starter solenoid wiring, does this look correct? Why I'm getting 12.5 volts on both sides is a mystery.

As I said earlier, this looks fine. This is the starter RELAY.

So I just went under the truck to check the wiring and it appears I have the positive wire to the ground and the ground wire to the positive side on the starter itself. I noticed the little red wire is correct but the other thicker wire (positive wire) is connected to the ground.
That sounds like your problem. I'm surprised, yet happy you haven't burned the truck to the ground. Looking forward to hearing of your success.

Yep funny u mentioned this, I almost torched her, I saw some smoke eminating upwards for a few secs, so I immediately pulled the positive battery cable. I didn't mention it because I really didn't wanna embarrass myself 🤪

I'm wondering if I did any damage to any wires or ro the starter by hooking it up incorrectly. I'll know when I hook it up soon. Ughhh
