just wondering if the starter is too close to the header pipes and if it should be wrapped from the close proximity to pipes.

That's close, I'd probably wrap it in a heat shield to ensure it last alil bit.

Better to be safe than sorry, I'll be checking clearance tomorrow on mine now. Might have to shield it too.
