Several companies offer more than one starter for my truck.
How do I determine which one to select?

The term "1.4 kilowatt" is ascribed to a few of the offerings on RockAuto with no other kilowatt numbers listed for any other starters.
No trim levels are mentioned.
Where to look?

I wouldn't worry about the kilowatt rating. Just the manual vs automatic transmission models. The only ones I noticed having the kilowatt rating are AC Delco manufactured starters. Kinda ironic installing a GM part brand on a Ford.

As far as the trim level, when it comes to the engine, trim usually doesn't matter. I say usually since there is generally an exception from time to time. As far as I'm away, there is nothing different in the trim levels on the Ford Ranger when it comes to the engine.
