my starter is going out AGAIN, and I've ran out of good spare parts... right now my starter is a mix of '86 thunderbird, and '89 and '90 ranger 2.3 starters. It sounds like the bushing is going out like the last one did. I know it's 3 bolt mount to the tranny with one wire held on by a bolt.
Anyone know what to look for starters from in the junkyard/craigslist for my 2.3 with mazda tranny? I'm almost positive it has to be from a mazda tranny, and I worked on a '94 once that had a second wire on the starter so I'm guessing '88-93? If I remember right from a year ago when I put my spare parts together the nose of the T bird starter was different than the ranger but those are buried at the bottom of my parts pile right now so I can't look. I might just try to get a new bushing and press that in...
