Okay so odd situation. I put a new (used) trans in my truck and sold it way back. Eventually I got the truck back as my project. Ive been driving it but recently, I went to start it and the starter spun but didn't kick out. Figured id try to hit it with a stick while bumping it. First tap the starter almost falls out. Turns out BOTH starter bolts fell out. That trans was not my first at all and I know I tightened them down. I sold the truck to my friend and I know he just drove it and that's it. Barely put 4000 miles on it in a year and a half. So my question is, what bolts should I get? Size and thread type... I was going to pull some from the pull a part but can't justify gas and entry fee.. even if gas is $1.75. Just need the bolts so I can get my truck started not on a hill or having my girlfriend giving me a push. BTW its a 2.9 with m5od.

also sounds like the bendix is stuck on the starter.. might need a new one. or tear it apart and clean it up

Im like 95% sure the reason was the starter being loose. But when I get the chance i'll find a bolt and try it out. also to be honest, all my searching I completely missed that thread.
