i have got all parts now just need remote oil filter still hunting for the right one. i am starting at the tranny . i have a new rebuilt c4 with mild shift kit i ran in a street truck for a short time . so aim doing a tail shaft swap with a c5. i was able to pull c5 a part and retrieve tail shaft and related parts last night. cleaned them up . to night i will be pulling the c4 down , my plan is to get the tranny flanged together, and i have a dead 302 block , ill add my oil pan bolt the empty block up to the tranny and wedge it all in using the tranny mount as the starting point .(hopefully) . once i have that fantasy completed i should be able to mock the rest in by using old empty heads and such to mock it all in .i have a fairly fresh turn key 71 302 from old street truck my be 50 000 on it. so i want all the blod sweat and tears out of the Way when i lay that in there the .the said 302 resides in my sons Mach 1 he has never drove it and by luck is able to buy the vin# matching 351c back.for his car so i get my 302 back its 30 over flat tops 351 w cam and 71w heads mustang 289 four barrel intake ,1968 believe ? 500 cfm edelbrock performer and a few other chose parts but you get the plan its no sat night killer but it was lots of fun in my old 75 full size 2wd. ill post up pics to night of motor and tranny . the only pic of motor going in my ranger.should be abel to tear shit apart with this.
