Start up

When I first start the truck after sitting for several hours it will idle up and then almost die, then it will idle up and then almost die. It will do this about 6 times and then it will settle in at idle and run normal. Any suggestions at what it could be? The truck is a 1994 ranger 4 cyl.

i've had this issue since day one with my truck...

i don't know about mine but with yours i would start by checking for codes and cleaning the iac.
