I have a 1991 Ford Ranger that has always been good to me. I have begun to notice a random problem with stalling which is begining to happen more frequently. If I do not keep the RPMs up, the car will stall. As I am slowing down for example, it will sometimes stall. Even as I am holding the gas to keep it at 3000, the RPMs may jump around a little bit. I do not believe it is a fuel problem since it really dosen't sputter out, it just dies (Also replaced fuel pump a year ago and recently the filter).
I do not believe I have any codes, as the CEL is not on. It used to come on intermitently though, but does not seem to come on when the stalling happens. I dont know if it is related. Even though I dont have a CEL I will try and scan for codes anyway. Does anyone know of a pinout of the connector port so I can read them using the CEL flash method?
Any sugestions on this. I am guessing either a CAS or the ignition module?? Also guessing the MAS?? I replaced the cap and rotor a few weeks ago
