Stalled While Driving

What I would do is take pliers and twist the prongs on the relay ever so slightly. This should make them tighter in the socket. Don't over do it, if you do it won't go in the socket. Just right and it should stiffen it up and make the elec connections better.
Great suggestion. Twisted the prongs and haven't had any stalls or issues for the past two weeks!

My 3.0 had a problem with this some years ago. Never really figured out why it was happening. I'd be driving, on the highway at 70+, and BAM, it would stall. Shove it in neutral and coast to the side. Thank God Oklahoma highways are not crowded, at least once past the am rush and late afternoon rush hour. First time it did it, I walked five miles home. It wouldn't start after it stalled. Drove my Lightning back to empty it out, tried the key and it started. So now I am five miles from home with two running vehicles. F--k! Drove the Lightning to a place a mile away. Walked back to the Ranger, drove it two miles and parked it. Walked back to the Lightning, drove it two miles and parked it. Got home eventually. The Ranger did this a few more times, and I just waited a few minutes, and it would start right up and run like nothing happened. Eventually it didn't do it any longer, Never figured out what caused it.
