I think a hockey puck would be fine. They can withstand tons (literally) of force.

But why chance it? Just spend $10 or less for a 2" stack of giant washers.

the problem with anything metal is the way they salt the roads in the winter time here. steel rusts very fast up here and those washers probably wouldn't last any longer than the pucks really.

By the time those washers disintegrate, you don't think your axle and whole truck (BTW, also made out of steel) wouldn't already be turned to rust as well??

Just use the washers already.

hockey is pretty popular here in northern minnesota. pucks go for less than $5.00 for a bucket of a dozen or more sometimes.

so far, the cab floor, entire bed (even on top of the rails), and 8" all around the lower body including the doors is rhino lined. before winter, i'll be going all over the under body, frame, etc. making sure everything that can be safely covered with undercoating is heavily coated. the underside will get done probably every other year. i did that to my 1991 geo tracker trail rig years back, and just now starting to get some paint bubbles above where i bed lined/undercoated.

i hate rust!!!!!!!!

hockey pucks work great, i ran them for 2 years on my 88 Ranger as coil spacers under the coil. Mine never cracked or broke. Take a 1 1/4" drill bore through the center and your done. Only costs $1 a puck here. I ran them in the the freezing winter and the hot summer months. Washers are most likely the better option, tho.

i just used washers... i would think that salt would eat rubber faster then steel... epsecially if paint them or somthing

a true body lift kit is made out of some pretty crappy looking stuff too, but I feel safe with it.

because a hockey puck was designed for hockey. A body lift was designed to be a body life many hours of R&D have gone into them. i just dont understand why someone would want to skimp on safety pay the 150 bucks for a bl and be safe or spend less than 100 bucks for coil spacers and be safe. think if everyone else on the road not just yourself.

im deffinetly using the pucks. probably just one on each side. i dont really care if it all falls apart. if it does than thats all i can do, drag it home and fix it an give 'er again.
btw it will only be a mild offroad rig no street use.. yet
