when i press my clucth down on my ranger(95,3.0L,5 speed.) it squeeks and same when i bring it off.. i did the clutch about 1-1/2 ago. and slave cylinder just after christmas,, soooo is it my master cylinder or wat????? thanks!

Mine does it in my 97 3.0L...its the slave in mine that is doing it.

Could be the throw out bearing too.

My 88 did it too. The little bushing that went between the pedal and slave fell out so it was metal on metal.

It could be the master clyinder. Mine will sqeek from time to time, but it sounds like it is in the cab than under the cab. Having the brake fluid in the lines flushed really helped.

I vote TOB. I just replaced the TOB that was in my Cobra, making similar sounds (except that has a mechanical clutch). Probably replace the slave cylinder while you have it open, unless you're sure it's ok.

Did you replace the TOB when you replaced the clutch or slave? Did you use OEM TOB?
