Square Fogs?

My 01 Ranger has a place for fogs in the bumper valance but they are rectangular. It did not come with them but i was wanting to add them. Really could use them where I live. I guess i would have to cut out the rectangles and mount aftermarkets from Wallmart.

there was a question in an older thread that was never answered. Is it true that all rangers are already wired for fogs, even if they were not on the truck at time of purchase?

well my 01 has the wires in the valance and wires for the switch behind the valance. I keep looking for the bezel that has the switch with out the 4x4 switch. also my thought would be to go down to the JY and just pull a set of lights out of a explorer or ranger on 1/2 price day. then it will mostly be a plug and play install.

'01 with square fogs? Square fogs were a 04-07 thing. 01-03 got rounds. Somebody must have swapped that valence on then...or it was possibly in a wreck. Pics please.

OR...do you have a XL or XLT 2wd? If so, Take a look at Fx2.3's truck(last months Street Truck of the Month). He's got that valence with a set of lights that look like they belong there.

My understanding is that some came with complete wiring, some didn't. All got the switch pigtail in the dash. Those 2wd, 2 12V, fog bezels are hard to find. Took me a good 5 yard before I found the remnents of one. lol.

I don't know about 01s, but when I installed some hella 500 fog lights on my truck, which didn't come with factory fog lights, i found the connector for the factory fog light switch in the dash. I don't know if any of the rest of the wiring is there, like the power, relay, and such are there, but the connector for the switch was already wired in
