Putting 1992 Explorer rear leaf springs on a 1989 Ranger 4x4.I thought I saw on here sometime back a step by step pictorial of the removal and installation
of this process.I searched but couldn't find it,can someone point me in the right direction.I don't have access to a lift it will be jacks and jackstands. Thanks

Thanks Chad, I found this information, What I was looking for was pics of the swap step by step.I may have seen it on another forum. Thanks again.

No problem. I just did mine the other weekend. The worst part was getting the old bolts out. Flip the center bolt in the explorer springs and they are a direct swap. I had a lift to work with, but if you get the frame on jack stands, you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Thanks again Chad. Were you able to reuse the spring tie bolts after flipping? I thought about buying new tie bolts and u-bolts,I am trying to fix "The Lean" on the drivers side.

if the center bolt breaks on you on removal, the stock bolt is a fine thread 10mm, 3/8" would work fine too that's what I'm using... just grind the bolt head round before you put it in.

it's very straight forward, you'll need some 18mm and 21mm wrenches or sockets, that's about it...
