So, in the process of pulling my engine to change the oil pump, I became a little... "frustrated" with my fuel lines, and out came the cable cutters. Damn spring locks wouldn't release, even though I had them disconnected back in July.

I cut both lines on pump side of the spring lock connectors. Looking around for new fittings/repair kits this morning, I see that my options are downright confusing.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to repair the lines I cut in anger? I will need something to fit the cut off nylon lines and adapt back to the spring lock fittings.

A little disappointed with myself on this one, but I was so p*ssed off at that point that I didn't care what I had to cut, that SOB was coming out.

Seems like I found some repair ends for that a while ago. They had a barb for the hose to fit onto and the spring lock to go to the filter or whatever. The barb fit really tight. I think heat helped. Don’t remember where I got them from. Seems like it was Advance auto or Oreillys.

or maybe I re-used the original fittings after cutting the hose off of them.

Someone posted a fuel line repair trick on here a few weeks ago I believe. I think they reused the fittings. They used a flaring tool to grip the line and push the fitting back into the line. I can't seem to find it doing a search... but you make have better luck

I found several styles in under a minute on Google, but I'm not sure which style you need. Post a pic maybe?

I saw that same thread.

He used a caulk gun as a press.

That is exactly what it was... a caulk gun. I was half right... he used the flaring tool clamp to hold the line... then put that it the caulk gun to do the pushing.
