I did a code read on my ranger and the second code came back as "SPOUT circuit not grounded" what the hell's that mean exactly???

The SPOUT circuit is the signal wire between the TFI modual and ECU, and it lets the ECU control spark timing.

Thers a removable inline connector in the SPOUT circuit the gets removed so the ECU cant adjust timing while your manualy setting the ignition timing by rotating the distributor.

Im thinking the connector is ether missing or might be corroded and not making a connection, so Id give that a look. On my old '91 Ranger the connector was in a wiring harness between the heater box and valve cover.
