SPOUT connector for 87 2.3?

where is the Spout connector for the '87 2.3L? My timing is off but I can't check it until i disconnect it (or so the book says ). I've looked but I couldn't find it where the book showed it at.

If the 2.3 is the same as the 2.9, the SPOUT wire is the yellow wire coming out of the TFI on the distributor. Follow the yellow wire and you should come across some type of blade fuse style connector somewhere.

Usually not all that far from the distributor, but I am not all that familiar with the 2.3's

my 87 had it within 6 inches of the dis on the drivers side top of engine. IIRC.
