My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
State inspection and emissions due this month. I knew the Trac had a squeaky ball joint, suspect rear brakes, no e-brake, and a fairly constant CEL showing left and right cat codes. Not able to keep the light out long enough to coax it past the emissions test. New Y-pipe and cats. All four brakes and rotors. Don't know what's wrong with the e-brake yet. The ENTIRE front suspension needs to be rebuilt. Every bushing, both UCA's, lower ball joints, struts, and strut bushings, sway bar end links. Basically everything that moves up and down is as loose as the Steelers' defense. Things that move left and right are passable but they say the steering rack is loose and should be replaced soon. Bought new tires two weeks ago. And I already knew the rear driveshaft carrier bearing is blown and that needs to be replaced along with the rear struts. 184,000 miles, this stuff will happen. Guess now I'm going to have to keep it another year or two. :icon_cheers:

Sounds like my '150

Needs tires, upper control arms/balljoints, TRE's and aligned. And then tires..

Similar mileage too.

I knew there was a reason I got my inspection license back.

But seriously, even if it was mine I wouldn't pass that.

What's an inspection? :idiot:

Sometimes im thankful i live in MI

No inspections is why I loved living in Georgia but I have seen more vehicles on the side of the road in states without inspections than with. Have fun doing your front end rebuild, but if you do your carrier bearing yourself and don't mind taking pics while you do it, I'd love to see how it is done for when mine finally goes. I've done many things but not a driveshaft carrier bearing, not even on my old Yota pickup. My brother did that one because my dad sent it to his shop since I was just learning in school how to pull wrenches then.

No inspections here but I don't want to put new tires on worn suspension stuff.
