Could anyone here post some pics of how the front mud flaps mount on an `03 4x4? I've located a set from an`97 on craigslist but I don't know if the brackets are the same. Thanks!

I dont believe they were a factory option as I tried to get a set through ford for my '05 and they told me nothin doin'. Best of luck.

Yes they were, I have them on my pickup... I'll brb, and get some pics for you.
Edit: Here you go! Hope they help. They're the same as the rear mudflaps without that metal rod/bracket that holds them on. The front ones are just held on by a screw or two and a few push-pin deals.

i miss my 97 my 98 has those hard plastic flaps and i think they look uuugly.

Guys, you have to remember what year is being talked about. My '05' 4x4 had none, don't think the '01' Edge had them, the 2000 4x4 does and both of the '98' 4x2's had them but the fully loaded '03' 4x2 doesn't. Ford keeps taking away what used to be standard equipment or just not offering it anymore.

Thanks for the pics 02RangerXLT but my truck has the wheel lip molding and I'm pretty sure there are brackets that hold them on. Anyone else?

Not trying to thread jack, but 02 can you take a pic of where your running boards mount front and back so I can get an idea on how to design a mount for my pair I got off a 94 for my 83? You can pm me if you want or just put them here. Thanks

I picked up the `97 splash guards and brackets today and found out that they'll bolt right up to my `03.
