Hey everyone, I was just surfing around for a suspension kit for my 02 4.0 4x4 and Ive seen the 3 '' spindles for a 2 wheel drive. My question is can you swap the 4x4 spindle for the 2x4 if you remove the cv axles? and i know you will lose 4x4 but i was thinking about making it into a prerunner anyways, I just dont have 3500 dollars to spend?

Thanks

see the problem with that is then you have all the extra stuff up in there. if you sell your 4x4 you can have enough to buy a 2wd and then have a bit to start lifting it. especially if you get a 97 or previous. but if you are set on lifting it like that yes they should fit but make sure you get the ones for the edge.

like he said, get the edge lift spindles. you can take out the axles like he also said, but then you still have the weight of all the 4x4 stuff up front.

all the 4x4 stuff was bolted in, there is no reason why it cant be unbolted, front D-shaft, front diff, side axels could all be removed the only extra weight that he would have is the transfer case

oops got off to talking about a ttb and he doesn't have one doh. Why not throw money at the 4x4 and not get stuck?
