spindle removal

i have an 03 edge 4x4 and i need to replace the spindle and lower balljoint i can get everything off of the spindle with no problem but i can not remove the spindle off of the lower balljoint. i have tried beating on it with hammers and i have evan tried to heat it up and take it off i cant think of anything else to do i was thinking that it was stuck on the lower balljoint and i know the balljoint shaft is tapered so it kinda presses itself into the lower spindle i would appreciate any help i can get thanks guys

go to autozone and rent a ball joint separator and get atleast a 3lb hammer. it has a handle and a wedge shape U on the end put it inbetween the control arm and spindle and just pound. I found it worked better on mine if you did it from the rear side. you might also want to connect the upper control arm again too cause it will just pop when you get far enough.
