I'm going to be changing the hub/bearing assembly on my `03 4x4 Ranger soon and I know I don't have a socket big enough for the spindle nut. What size do I need and am I going to have to borrow an impact wrench to get the nut off? Anything wrong with apply some heat to the nut as I'm going to be replacing the bearings anyway?

What's wrong with measuring it? Just use a cresent wrench on nut and measure the opening.

It's a 32mm and yes it was installed with Loc-tite, so heat helps.
So does a substantial length breaker bar. It'll laugh at most impact wrenches.

I had trouble with using a 42" breaker bar, so I added some cheater length (chain link fence post) and it still took all my body weight to break them loose. Break them loose while it's still on the ground.
