I have a 83 with 351w c6 trans and the correct teeth on the cable but my speedometer doesn't work. When it's not plugged into the cluster the cable spins freely and just fine but when it's connected it doesn't work. I've tried a using a different speedometer and that too doesn't spin. It worked only when I hooked it up to drill and spun it backwards. What am I doing wrong or what could be the problem I'm not seeing?
