Just picked up a 93 with the towing pkg and 5 spped manual. Speedometer is way off. It has 3:73's and 31" tires on it now. What sppedo gear would put me back to actual reading?

Wow...I did I break a rule here. I asked what I tought was a simple question and no answers. I see why this site has really changed since last time I was here. Just wondering wheat speedo gear to change to if my 5 speed ranger is 10 MPH over?

Welcome to The Ranger Station, glad to have you here!

Most likely get your answer right here: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Speedogear.html
from the trusty Tech Library.

You may not have found that tab at the top of the home page, http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/index.php

Hope that helps you out.

If not, http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/speedometer.htm

Might also search through this forum section, http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=54

Sorry for not doing the math for ya.

http://www.rrorc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24206 has some more detail and 4WD.

With 3.73s and 31's it's not way off. When you're speedometer shows 55 you're actually doing about 59 mph. It's off by about 4 mph...
