Got 2 options for speedo set up n my truck build. The BW1356 has teeth driven gears and the Ford 8.8 rear axle ABS/VSS sensor. Curious what others think - thanks!

if your mechanical speedo works....use it

Will do. How many teeth on the gear would you recommend for 4:56 and 33” inch tires or would this be something to figure when it runs?

Yes, if cluster has speedo cable then just one option, transfer case
And even if its an electric speedo just one cheap option transfer case, VSS in speedo hole in transfer case

You would have to spend $90-$125 to convert ABS sensor to speedo pulses per mile, Ford only did that for 3 years(1998-2000) because its a stupid idea, and same years for Pulse Vacuum Hubs, "the lunatics were running the asylum" :)

BW1356 should have a 7 tooth DRIVE gear on the output shaft
4.56 rear axle ratio
33" diameter tires
Would need a 19 tooth DRIVEN gear, it calculates at 19.48 teeth
32" tires 20.09 teeth

Great info - I will have to get a new drive gear. The set up I picked it up with was 8 to 19.

8
4.56
33"
Comes out at 22 teeth which they don't make, just 21 and 23, and 23's can wear out pretty fast
