Speedo after v8 conversion

Can't believe I got this far with V8 conversion and can't get speedo working with Dakota Digital interface now shifter interlock doesn't work, thought it was going to be simple

Shifter interlock is strictly Brake pedal release, i.e. brake light power ON.

Do Brake lights work?
Could have blown a fuse, when wiring at ABS module

I don't think there are two hook ups for VSS on your year PCM

DD SGI does need to be Grounded but wouldn't power on if it wasn't
PCM has a few Ground wires, they are not shared internally so all must be hooked up

Dang, wish I would've known what I was doing with my first swap. It was similar to yours but pre-PATS 97 computer in 03 edge ranger. I hooked up the VSS plug with the 4R70W and it just worked without any mods. But I can't tell you what I done differently. I'll look into it myself and try to find something to help.

Yes brake lites work, should I have spliced in large solid color re n green wires?

First off thanks for your help but please bare with me I spliced into red/pink n green/black wires at abs then to grey/black wire at 42 pin connector didn't work, should I have spliced into large red n green wires at abs then to grey/black at 42 pin connector.i looked at diff connector n though they were same wires

Just curious, doesn't you're ABS connector have a grey/black wire? If so that should be VSS and where it's sent out to everything else. I could be wrong just throwing it out there cause I remember it when I was repinning all my wires and I was thinking that would be where you would want to splice into.

No grey/black wire at ABS, sorry I panicked shifter interlock was no more than number 9 fuse blown

The 4WABS would have that wire in some years, rear wheel ABS wouldn't

Ok I gotcha, may not help since I don't have the 5E yet to test myself but I was just going to run my own wires from rear to 5E then out to speedometer and whatever else needed the speed signal. I'm guessing it's not gonna be as easy as I was thinking.

Thanks for the help got everything soldered n heat shrink done the Dakota Digital works great

If it isn't too long of an explanation could you give a rundown of which colors went into which position so when I get to it it will be a little easier? I'm just confused why there's a sensor power, sensor ground, and a signal in.
