does anyone know how to get rid of the speed limiter on a 92 4.0l 4x4 ranger.

First, this is posted in the wrong area. Second, the speed limiter is in the computer programing. To eliminate it, you need to work with the computer,(IE: programing or a chip). With that said, why would you want a 4X4 to go any faster than the limited speed??? It's not a race car and should be driven with prudent respect.

And at what speed did you find this speed limiter?

Because the only "speed limit" I've found on my '93 explorer
engine & computer is the engine rev limit 4650rpm

i have 5.13 gears and 33" tires so i maxed out the speedo at 170 but i was only prob going 120 130 at 3000 rpm

Are we talking KPH or MPH? But I feel I should say, once again, it's not a race car and should be driven with prudent respect.
