After working stupid amounts of hours and hardly messing with my axle at all, I've realized I just don't have the time during the day to call ARB and ask.
I got some standard carrier shims for my 8.8 with my install kit. But it seems like they kinda rub on the "special bearing" a bit, and would block nearly all oil flow to it, or at least the one side of the bearing (they completely cover the area open to the race). Due to the shape of the bearing it doesn't look like a lot can get in the opposite side either. I've given up on getting the one carrier shim that was from the original pack (which fits nicely) to work.
Is there carrier shims from ARB I was supposed to get? Or do the regular carrier shims work just fine?
In hopefully two weeks I may be having some time off, and would like to know so I can have it ready.
