I just got an 86 B2 and it has no factory speaker locations other than in the top of the dash. Am I missing something? Anyhow, where would be a good location to cut and install some speakers front (maybe 5x7) and rear (6x9)?

Thanks

Thanks, I will probably try that. I don't have any speakers behind the seats, in the doors in the rear. Can't find anything besides the dash ones. Seems strange. I expected to at least find something in the door panels, rear or towards the rear for factory speaker install location.

Speakers

My 86 is pretty basic and it has speakers in the sides by the back seat all I have left since I put the 93 dash in kinda A weird place

IDk about a base model, but all the B2's I've seen had the speakers just behind the front seats. But I did put in a set of 6x9's in my lift gate. Just a piece of composit board cut to cover up the two "indentions" in the lift gate with my speakers mounted in them. take a look and you'll understand. I can get a couple pics if needed, hope this helps.

Well, I don't see any speakers or even a factory speaker cover anywhere :icon_confused:
I attached photos of my interior panels

Yep, you have a base model. Most of the XL's that also used that side panel had a speaker in the side near the rear arm rest.

looks like I need to find me some new rear panels at the junk yard or maybe just build inside mount and cut the panel. Thanks for the replies!
