reading some of your posts now its my turn hahahah
you shouldnt need a cap really ever.... and yes it discharges not fully but it will discharge to the point of being useless to what you want it to do. doing the big three will be your best bet as far as upgrading. newer trucks can handle it better. im over a 1000w's and my head lights dim on some hard core bass, and i can only tell at 2 in the morning when im sitting still to look at it.
even so anything less the 1000w be it one or two amps shouldnt need the big three any way. also the batteries you have only will help your truck. not the system. your amps are rated at 14v (yes they can run at 12v) so having a good battery is good. but its only helping it take a rechargin all the time. not helping run your system.
who ever said about distorting your highs that a eq setting or you blown your speakers. and just casue they sound good for some songs doesnt mean there not blown.
as for frank the tank.....
2 15's is a no go if you ever plan on driving your truck and haveing the radio on too. you dont want to know the moneys/time involved in making two 15's pound. i had a single 15 and i got rid of it.
if you want to pound for blocks. the advice was correct for the music you like 12 or 10's prolly two, but your looking for long travel in the cone. and put them in a small (for there specs) sealed box. the long travel in a small box, makes the low pressure you feel down the block. make sure you have your ohms annd rmsw matched up and good luck.
